Campus Collaborative
The Campus Collaborative is an interprofessional group that includes over 40 university units and several community organizations in a common goal to improve community well-being in the University District, focusing special attention on human services and student quality of life.

The P-12 Project Neighborhood Schools Initiative

The P-12 Project is committed to assisting Ohio’s Schools, particularly those that serve underserved children and youth. Our scope includes the entire state, but we have a responsibility to be good neighbors to the
schools in our local community, which are some of the most needy in the Columbus area. Because of our proximity to these schools, we have developed a strong relationship with fourteen neighborhood schools.

Ohio Campus Compact
Campus Compact is a national coalition of more than 900 colleges and university presidents devoted to the civic purposes of higher education. To support this civic mission, Campus Compact promotes community service that develops students' citizenship skills and values, encourages partnerships between campuses and communities, and assists faculty who seek to integrate public and community engagement into their teaching and research.

National Resources

W.K. Kellogg Foundation
"Learning In Deed: Making a Difference Through Service Learning." From the Web site: "The W.K. Kellogg Foundation in 1998 launched Learning In Deed, a national initiative to engage more young people in service to others as part of their academic life."

American Association of Colleges and Universities
Site provides detailed descriptions of its projects, including the Diversity Initiative, in which service-learning and campus-community partnerships play an important role.

American Association of Higher Education Service-Learning Project
A description of AAHE's Service-Learning Project, including coalition-building conferences and the 18-volume monograph series on service-learning in the disciplines. Also includes links to other service-learning resources.

AACTE National Service-Learning in Teacher Education Partnership (NSLTEP)
Made possible in part by a grant from the Corporation for National Service / Learn and Serve America, the AACTE/NSLTEP project is designed to help develop institutional capacity and interinstitutional infrastructure to incorporate service-learning in teacher education programs.

UCLA Service-Learning Clearinghouse
Funded by the Corporation for National Service and the University of Minnesota National Service-Learning Clearinghouse, the UCLA Service-Learning Clearinghouse Project's mission is to provide resources and support to Learn and Serve America Higher Education grantees and subgrantees, as well as the higher education service-learning field at large. This web site contains information and resources focusing on Faculty Issues, K- H Partnerships, Assessment and Evaluation, Training and Technical Assistance, and Service-Learning Research.

Service Learning in Composition (National Council of Teachers of English)
This site is a resource for teachers, researchers, and community partners interested in connecting writing instruction to community action.

Service-Learning
A comprehensive site with definitions of service-learning; a thorough listing of undergraduate service-learning programs with online course lists and syllabi; links to college and university homepages; and a list of links to service-learning organizations, networks and resources.

Learn, Serve & Surf
An "internet resource kit" for service-learning practitioners. A site created as part of a graduate studentÅfs work in Instructional Technology at UT Austin. Lists model programs and practices, listservs, discussion sites, links, etc. Also contains a definition and description of service-learning and its various components, with a bibliography.

Florida International University
Basic question and answer section, useful links. Includes "101 Ideas for Combining Service and Learning" in various disciplines. Site can be accessed from Colorado page.

Humboldt State University (Acatas, CA.)
Site offers faculty support information, links, and examples of courses in action.
Virginia Tech. Extensive site offering general information, faculty support, national links, annual reports, and a chatroom.

Southern Methodist University
Offers ideas for courses.

Tufts University (by way of the Massachusetts Campus Collaborative)
Offers a selection of course syllabi, on line guides and handbooks, service-learning writings, and community and civics development information.

University of Michigan
Michigan Journal of Community Service Learning
The MJCSL is a peer-reviewed academic journal containing papers written by faculty and service-learning educators on research, theory, pedagogy, and issues pertinent to the service-learning community. Site contains abstracts of MJCSL articles and information on subscribing and submitting manuscripts.


The National Service-Learning Clearinghouse
This site contains a searchable database of K-12 and higher education service-learning literature, information about events, listservs and Learn & Serve America efforts and links to a variety of service-learning information resources.

National Society for Experiential Education
Includes information about various experiential education methods, including service-learning. Also includes membership and conference information, lists of publications and resources, and a description of NSEE's mission and history.

Service-Learning: A Student's Experience
